Salaam Shalom is composed of dedicated instrumentalists, singers and dancers. We interpret the music and dance of the Sephardic and Mizrachi Jewish cultures, as well as other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures. Performances can include participatory folk songs and dances, pieces that we have choreographed, and improvisations.
We also wish to honor the Jewish contribution to Madison’s vibrant Greenbush community
We have been together since January 2006 and have performed at an Israeli Independence Celebration event, the Cambridge Renaissance Faire, Festa Italia, as well as other venues.
